For context, I’m 16, around 186 cm and 73 kg. (I can grow light stubble and think I am done growing) but overall I’m still developing, but I’ve noticed some facial asymmetries and other things and I’m trying to understand what’s normal and what can realistically improve over time.
I previously had an orbital floor fracture and reconstruction on my left side. Since then, my left eye still feels slightly more sunken, and my left zygomatic area seems more prominent compared to the right. At the same time, the left side of my face looks more “snatched,” which makes the asymmetry confusing. That side is also still sensitive, so I sleep on my right side only.
My top teeth are straight and well aligned, but my lower jaw feels underdeveloped, with mild crowding on the bottom teeth. I also have a dorsal hump on my nose, visible smile/nasolabial lines, and recessed infraorbital areas (does this mean I have a recessed maxilla). I’ve heard mixed things online about posture, diet (milk, sugar), and even facial stress or impact affecting bone structure, but I’m not sure what’s actually real—especially given my surgery history.
I’m mainly trying to understand the possible causes of these features and what can improve naturally with growth, posture, and time versus what’s just genetic or structural. ps should be a moves photo in there too showing me what I can look like (lips seem to be like always looking sad and angry downturned) (defo need hit gym never have gone)
