Love is seeing past the labels and divisions that separate us—looking at someone society dismisses as lesser and feeling the same deep connection you’d feel for anyone else. It’s refusing to rank people, refusing to believe some are worth more and others less. It means tearing down the walls in your own mind that say, *This person doesn’t deserve the same kindness, the same respect.* Real love doesn’t pick and choose; it doesn’t hold one person up while pushing another down. It’s looking at someone the world calls broken, worthless, or unlovable and saying, *No—you’re human, just like me, and I will treat you that way.* It’s loving without measuring, without conditions, the way you’d love family—not because they’ve earned it, but because they exist. And most of all, it means never being the reason someone feels small. Love isn’t just a feeling—it’s a choice, every day, to see people fully, to refuse to play by the rules that say some matter and others don’t. It’s standing against anything that tries to make a person less than human.
