Love is dead and we have killed it. The erosion of traditional gender roles and the corresponding degradation of what many would deem "real love" should be viewed as symptomatic of a broader societal shift towards hedonism and individualistic consumerism. Which is largely influenced by the forces of modern Judeo-Capitalism, values that once anchored individuals to familial and communal structures have been eroded by an emphasis on self-gratification and material success.
The notion of "real love" has become diluted in a culture that commodifies everything, including intimacy. Love in its authentic form is about enduring hardships and committing to another person despite challenges. Yet in a society where instant gratification and disposable lifestyles reign supreme, love has been replaced by fleeting passions and shallow connections. The pursuit of pleasure mirrors the broader capitalist pursuit of short-term gains rather than long term stability.
