low calorie high protein diet?

if i eat 1800 calories a day but 125g of protein a day will i still progress with muscle gain?

i’m 187cm and 70kg rn but don’t have visible abs

plan is to build more muscle and lean down

or should i eat in a deficit of like 300 calories and eat 2200 calories a day
 
you prolly maintain rather than gain muscle. try to keep the deficit as low as possible, whilst keeping the protein intake up.

my advice would be: eat as much calories as ur body daily needs and focus on consuming a lot of protein. once u hit ur calorie goal for the day, go for a 1h walk or so, to burn some 100-200 calories and keep a low deficit. do this for 6 months and you should start losing fat whilst making progress.

oh and consume creatine, it boosts your gym performance a lot
