That's what I've been thinking.. I can wreck people in history kahoots, but when it comes to math/science stuff, I can't compete because it does not interest me at all. I am thinking of becoming a historian or archeologist, but usually high IQ people are of those careers. While I don't consider myself to be one, it really makes me wonder if our notion of intelligence determines whether a person is interested in the subject or not. Since I am not interested in math or science, I don't consider myself very intelligent, but rather more average. This makes me wonder that if a person excels more in subjects like math or science, would he find history as equally challenging as a guy solely interested in history would find math/science?

I have similar questions and i think it's a subject that needs lots of reading and research to come to a conclusion.

My preliminary analysis is that, since people with ADHD feel either very attracted to a subject (which triggers hyperconcentration) or the other extreme (Which triggers lack of attention and concentration), then people with ADHD are bound to excel in that which stimulates their brain, and will be below average in that which doesn't achieve so.

Yesterday i was watching one of the most High IQ people in the world saying that intelligence is the ability to focus solely on one thing so strongly that it opens doors and responses in your brain that maybe other people wouldn't be able to achieve so. Maybe hyperconcentration is the best scenario for intelligence, maybe highly intelligent people can trigger it more easily. I can't say, that's why i started with "it requires more research" and i haven't done it.
