Ltn gets rejected from my group project just to watch htn get accepted right infront of him

So last week in uni we had to make groups of 3-5 for a group project and me and my 2 friends I know from high school decided it would be us 3 since all the other people are just international students who can’t speak English

Then some ltn came up to us some jeet and asked if he could join and my friends were about to let him join because of the pressure and them being too pussy to say no but I was like nah man I just want us three and that was that

Then on Monday this week me and my 2 friends came late so we went in and sat at the only table that could seat us all together and I was sat right next to that Ltn guy but I didn’t realise then there was also this Italian htn who wasn’t we’ve never seen before and he was in the ltns group but then he was like yo would you guys mind if I joined your group and the ltn said “They only want them three, right?” I didn’t even hear this guy say it next to me but I was like nah man your all good I’ll add you to it and my friend told me this guy was just staring into my soul
