This shit fucking works, I went from only having lucid dreamed 3 times in my whole life to now I lucid dream regulary. Just yesterday I lucid dreamed twice
1. Start recording your dreams in your dream journal. Anytime you dream you're going to want to physically write down your dreams. This will help build dream awareness. You can also do reality checks, but in my experience that didn't help much.
2. Before you go to sleep set an alarm for 4-6 hours
3. Once you wake up just go back to sleep but you're going to use this thing called an anchor. Basically you just need to focus on something so you maintain some awareness when you start dreaming. For example you can try counting, or you can try focusing on the noise your fan is making it could be anything. This is the part where people fuck up, don't focus so hard to the point where you keep yourself awake, it should just be something in the back of your mind so that you maintain some minimal awareness when you dream. The anchor I like to use is just saying "I will lucid dream tonight" over and over again.
4. if you repeat steps 1-3 long enough eventually you'll start to enter a sort of half dream-half awake state right before you actually fall asleep fully. It's a bit hard to explain but you'll know once you experience it. For me my brain starts to play dreams in my head but i'm still able to be aware of whats happening in the real world. This is the key stage from here you can basically enter straight into a lucid dream.
Essentially the way you enter into the lucid dream is to just focus on staying aware that you're about to fall asleep, I do this by actively trying to manipulate the scenes my brain plays while I'm in the half awake/half asleep state.
it sounds simple but it genuinely works, you 100% will be able to lucid dream if you do this. Also I really only do steps 3-4 I don't do the whole waking up in the middle of the night thing or recording shit cause I'm a lazy bastard.
It still worked for me though.
Bonus Tips:
1.create a subconscious idea/person that will help you become lucid. For example what I did is in my mind I imagined a "god of dreams" I gave him a name and everything and would think about this "god of dreams" throughout my day. Particularly I internalized the idea that I could gain power from this "god of dreams" and its helped me become lucid alot more often. Essentially you just want to create some mental construct which can help you become lucid and place it in your subconscious.
2. Start day dreaming, this really helps imo. Also think about lucid dreaming as an extension of day dreaming, if you can internalize this mentally it really helps
some video resources I used:
these dudes are really good if your serious at wanting to lucid dream I recommend watching them. They have a bunch of videos on lucid dreaming and they're the only ones who have actually worked for me
