Ibuprofen was used to reduce bloating because it's an anti-inflammatory (NSAID), and water retention can be linked to inflammation. Some believed it helped by lowering systemic inflammation, reducing discomfort, and possibly affecting cortisol levels.

However, it’s not an effective or safe method. It doesn’t directly impact water retention like diuretics, can harm kidney function, interfere with muscle recovery, and cause digestive issues—especially on a strict diet.

Better alternatives:
✔️ Adjust sodium intake gradually.
✔️ Increase potassium and water consumption.
✔️ Avoid bloating foods.
✔️ Use natural options like hibiscus tea, dandelion, or magnesium.

For peak conditioning, natural and safer methods are the way to go.
