Finasteride increases estrogen through aromatising the testosterone (which is higher due to less of it converting to DHT)

I always knew that finasteride increased the odds to develop autoimmune diseases but never knew the exact mechanism (shifting the immune system toward th1 is part of the story). Autoimmune diseases affect women in much higher rates than men (in some autoimmune diseases women have a 9:1 greater chances to get the disease). Estrogens clearly increase the risks for autoimmune diseases.

Now, finasteride increases estrogen. For people who are born with a predisposition to autoimmune disease (and only need an environmental trigger to get them), finasteride is the ultimate death blow

For example, estrogen raises TSH (a thyroid hormone)....higher TSH means hypothyroidism. And 90% of the times it's caused by Hashimoto (an autoimmune disease). Finasteride raises TSH through raising estrogen. People who take it are at greater risk of getting Hashimoto disease. On propeciahelp everybody have higher than normal level of TSH.

But of course this is true to many other autoimmune diseases....I'm pretty sure I got my autoimmune disease (or almost got it since I got the antibodies without showing symptoms) because of finasteride.

Of course women that take birth control pills (that raise estrogens) also have a much increased risks of developing autoimmune diseases and indeed they always do (75% of people with autoimmune diseases are women lol). They are just too low IQ to understand the science and see patterns.

But since autoimmune diseases affects much more women than men it's also more likely we will find a cure...women's problems get so much attention and funds so I'm hopeful for a cure

So take ai+fin. What's the problem?

I can tolerate finasteride right now (compared to before when I absolutely couldn't tolerate it) because I made precise changes in my lifestyle to reduce risks of autoimmune diseases. Changing diet was the main one, don't eat carnivore but strictly gluten free and very anti inflammatory

So basically veggies and meat?

Yeah some high IQ people already figured it out that PFS was an autoimmune disease...still many are clueless
And 99,9% of people who take finasteride have no idea they greatly increase the risks of developing autoimmune diseases in the future

Messing with your hormones too much is dangerous and can have other side effects
I prefer to limit the risks through lifestyle changes that reduce the negative effects of finasteride

aromatase inhibitors side effects include strokes, blood cots, some type of cancers, neurodegeneration, depression, sleep disturbances ecc. Messing with your hormones always has potential side effects, the less you mess with them the better. I much prefer deal with finasteride side effects with lifestyle modifications

I've been taking finasteride for three months with no side effects whereas before every time I tried I had nasty debilitating side effects
And in just three months I had huge regrowth (combining with other things I'm taking) so I figured out a way to take it without side effects....taking AI may just shift the risk, from autoimmune diseases to other diseases/problems
That's not a solution for me...there are better ways to deal with finasteride side effects
