main thing lense distortion changes is your face width and height

measured my harmony in a tiktok video i thought i looked aight but it changed my FWHR from 1.9-> 1.6 and my midface from 1:1 to 0.92 (deviously long) which resulted in the skewing of other ratios like ESR
although i didn't even look bad but lense distortion is truly brutal

Yeah it makes the eyes look wider set and the edges of the face narrower. Just visualize it as barrel distortion and it's pretty easy to see what's going on.
