Its just like lookism, you give this social value to things based on your emotions instead of thinking about it. Why do you care when some guy touches a 7 year old but not when someone gets shot and paralyzed for life? Just because some guy is 20 that makes him less valuable than some kid? We are hardwired to value children. You can try to be all edgy but you can’t go against nature.

We are also hardwired to put extra value on women. But of course we have examined that idea and we dont like it. What I am interested in is what makes it different than with kids? Why is it edgy to say that a kid shouldnt have extra value but its perfectly fine to say that a woman shouldnt get extra value compared to a man?
