Introduction:
Hello everyone, this is my first proper guide on anything and I hope it finds everyone well. I wanted to make this thread because I was yet to see a guide dedicated to how to use makeup to enhance and cover up certain features. I can imagine this is because no one wants to openly admit to using makeup and having so much knowledge about it because it’s too feminine & not ‘straight’. But I will take one for the forum.
In my opinion using makeup is not feminine but instead it will help increase your SMV by a mile. As Clavicular said it’s not gay if you end up pulling more women and mog everyone to death.
Makeupmaxxing is just the slight use of makeup to make you mog harder everyday. This guide will help everyone understand how to increase their appeal easily with little costs and side effects while requiring no effort.
Ogee curve + Zygomatic Arch
Let’s start with the Ogee curve. If you are unaware of what the Ogee curve is please click below.
The Ogee curve is the double curve - kinda like an S shape seen from the 45-degree profile - its a key feature for defining “hollow cheeks” and the transition from the cheekbone down to the midface. Improving the definition of the Ogee curve will drastically make a noticeable difference to everyone, especially normies.
So how do you use makeup to improve the Ogee curve?
#1 You will apply a tiny amount of concealer which should be a little lighter than your actual skin to the highest point of your cheekbone (you can do this just by feeling around your zygos)
#2 Use a little “cool-toned” contour shade, which is like a grey or light blue to mimic natural shadows, right under the zygomatic bone. Feel against your zygos and feel for a dip as you move down, that’s where to apply. This will make the inward part of the Ogee curve look more deep creating the illusion of the bone being more projected.
#3 (This is an optional step I don’t do but may be useful for others) If you notice some darkness or discolouration in the triangle between your nose and cheeks* use a colour corrector. Go with peach tone if you have a lighter skin tone but orange shade for a darker skin tone. Or the same concealer from #1.
Here is a before and after result following a similar routine:
Sorry for mediocre examples as not many people publicly post their before and afters for good reasons
Zygomatic Arch
I’m pretty sure we all know what the zygomatic arch is and where it is but just in case I provided an explanation + images below (Skip spoilers if you are familiar with basic knowledge of the zygomatic bones)
The zygomatic arch is basically the cheekbone structure. You want the zygo to really pop and appear wide and more projected. It’s one of the most stunning features and man or girl could have but important for males especially
To find the zygomatic bone, feel around for a hard bone that is in front of your ear and runs towards the centre of your face below your eye area. Almost like a visor. If you are somehow still struggling to find your zygos there is a photo below to guide you.
If you already know what and where the zygomatic bone is READ FROM HERE
#1 Find your zygo and go directly beneath the bone where it goes from hard to soft.
#2 Apply a small amount of cool-toned, matte contour (a grey or light blue colour) in a thin line underneath the zygomatic arch. Start from the back of the arch ( the ear) and follow underneath the bone stopping before around 1-2 inches - roughly two fingers length- before the corner of your mouth.
#3 Apply a very tiny amount of concealer (again a shade lighter than your actual skin tone) at the very top of the arch where you started.
The light colour on top of the darker colour will make the bone have a pop effect almost making it look like its sticking out more than before.
COMMON MISTAKES:
- Many people make the contour shadow too low which can make your face look saggy and feminine and not defined and masculine like we would want it
- Also remember to blend the shadow up into the arch not down, it will make it look weird and obvious otherwise and not ‘sandwiched’ between the bone
| Feature | Without Makeup | With Makeup |
| Face Shape | Oval and round | Angular/Diamond |
| Bone support | More boneless | Higher perceived bone mass |
| Appeal to Normies | Average, nothing special | Chiseled/ Mogger |
I could not find any direct before and afters of this for men apart from clavicular - but his YouTube was taken down - However the women results OF THE CHEEKBONES can be expected to be similar to males
Infraorbitals and Under-eyes
Infraorbitals are the bones in region under your eyes and are pretty easy to feel with your fingers. Infraorbitals can be the cause for healthy looking under yes or eyes that look hollow and tired. Projected infraorbitals are quite rare so this tip should be helpful for everyone.
Most people I see have recessed infraorbitals, it is, in my opinion, the most noticeable and common recessed bone. So when we try and create a shadow under the eyes it will make the Infraorbitals rim look more projected leading to a more developed and projected midface. For these steps you will need the same as the last two a matte coloured concealer and optionally a colour corrector.
#1 First you have to find where to apply the products. The easiest way to do this is to tilt your head slightly down while looking at a mirror. Where you see dark area (a greyish black usually) under your eye socket, that’s your target area of application.
#2 Take a small amount of concealer and dab it gently on the line where the shadow is darkest. Tap it only on that line. Wait around 1 minute for it to set.
#3 After the minute is up, blend in the shadow and not directly under the eye using a very light tapping motion. Once you have finished blurring it in, take a dry and clean finger and it press firmly over the whole shadow area.
If you are unsure of any of these steps check the video!
Hopefully this will help fix those dark undereyes (No Kscamy cope JFL
) and make the infras perceived as more forward and less reccessedAcne and Colouring
Acne
Even though acne can be an easy fix for life with a couple pills of accutane, I will still cover it for people who don’t have access to it and people who are scared of pharmaceuticals.
For acne we have to do it one pimple/ scar at a time otherwise the makeup would become super obvious.
#1 Take some eyedrops, like visine, and put a little on a Q-tip and press it on the pimple/scar for around 1 minute. If it’s a larger pimple or a recent one then I recommend to press it for 2 minutes.
#2 Use a makeup point brush or a toothpick edge, not your finger, and place a tiny dot of some matte concealer which is the same colour as your skin on your pimple/scar. Let it sit for 1 minute. Do multiple at once if you need so it doesn’t take hours.
#3. Use a clean Q-tip & tap only the outer edge of the dot. Leave the middle of the dot there as that is what will hide your scars and pimple entirely.
The main downside to this is that the makeup can easily be wiped off, if you rub your face or touch it too much.
If done correctly you can expect results like this
Colouring
Colouring is simply the means of fixing pale or grey skin to make it look thicker and healthier. It’s the glow that makes people stand out so well.
Colouring is usually improved by the use of certain supplements like astaxanthin, beta-carotene, lycopene, in combination of MT1 or MT2 for the skin. However this takes so much constant time, effort and money to shovel pills down your throat and pin everyday to maybe get results after a few months with a risk of cancer
#1 Use a matte bronzing powder (no shimmer or glitter) or if already laying around a tinted moisturiser that is a shade darker than your skin. I recommend a bronzing powder instead as it’s more natural looking. Apply a pea size amount onto the top of the zygos and the top of your forehead only. Blend the drop on your forehead downwards towards your eyebrows. And just move your finger in a small ‘c’ motion over your zygos to cover it all.
#2 Mix a tiny amount of tinted gel with a moisturiser (any kind)
#3 Rub it between your palms and then gently press around your face everywhere.
Following these steps will yield subtle but amazing results:
Lips
Using a touch of makeup on the lips can help boost the healthy look and make it more vibrant
I highly recommend to only follow this tutorial if your lips look dull or dry as you don’t want to make it very bright and extravagant with makeup.
#1 Start by dampening your lips with a generous amount of water and dry with a thick tissue or towel to remove excessive dryness off the lips
#2 Take a red (no glitter or shine) tinted balm and apply onto the inner center of your lips which is where they meet. Press your lips together and kinda smack them a few times to spread the balm. This creates a beautiful gradient between the lips to the skin surrounding it.
#3 To make sure the lips don’t look feminine and glossy take a tissue, toilet paper etc. and put it between your lips and press down hard with your lips. This will ensure that the oils and waxes from the makeup is absorbed and only the red stain to imitate healthy red lips.
Results may vary especially depending on skin tone, lip structure and lip size but may yield great results with minimal effort.
Jawline and Mandible
This tutorial will focus on trying to make the mandible* look projected and thicker and make the jawline look more defined to create a stronger shadow effect between the neck and the jaw. This will make the fat around the area to look less prominent
*The mandible is the lower jawbone responsible for the lower third
#1 Take a contour stick that is a brown type of shade, preferably a ‘cool’ brown, and trace a line under your jawline (not on the side of the bone) starting from the back stopping an inch (two fingers length) from the chin.
#2 Let that sit for around 1 minute
#3 Blend the contour downwards into your neck gently
You should end up with a sharper jawline from the side and a more masculine mandible.
If it appears as a brown stripe on your face you did the contour on the side of the one and not directly under.
Couldn’t find any examples for this as I made this one up myself but it works wonders
Risks and Side effects
Let’s just start with side effects as there aren’t that many -
- Skin irritation & allergic reactions
- Acne & clogged pores
- Dry skin
-Eye infections
-Photosensitivity
-Premature aging
- Endocrine disruption
- Neurological damage
-Organ toxicity
-Cancer risk
-Potential for contamination
All the side effects in red are all extremely rare and have minimal effect and you should not be worried about them. As with all the other risks and it can all change from brand to brand.
I have only included them because it would be unethical of me not to tell you of the very slight risk of the side effects.
Social Risks
There are some very obvious risks of wearing makeup in today’s society. However you also do have to consider the benefits, walking around with that slight increase in appeal will really enhance your life in little ways. If you do follow the makeup tutorials I have provided there is little chance someone could suspect or even prove you are wearing makeup as the amount is so minimal.
But if you did get caught somehow applying or wearing makeup you would be harassed and humiliated ideniably. Of course this would depend on the country and region you are living in. Wearing makeup is seen as gay, but homophobic countries are usually poorer. So the richer region you are in, the less the humiliation, usually.
Anyways I conducted a very short survey to see if people had different thoughts about makeup as a male and wearing it themselves
| Answers: | Do you think its feminine to wear makeup? | Would you take the risk of wearing makeup to look better but with the little risk of being found out? |
| Yes I do think/would do ____ | 40% of people said it is feminine to wear makeup | 60% would wear makeup to look better knowing the risks |
| No I don’t think/wouldn't do ____ | 60% said it isn’t feminine to wear makeup | 40% would not wear makeup to look better knowing the risks |
What can we tell from this?
The short survey included 10 people. I will keep who said what anonymous but everyone who thought makeup was feminine would not take the risk of wearing makeup. In my opinion I think these people only said this due to the thought of themselves wearing makeup and not the actual benefits compared to the risk. So what I concluded is that wearing makeup is not feared by worry of others judging you. But it’s yourself judging you. I know its a bold claim from such a small test but that’s what I believe.
Thank you to @subhum4n7 @satangoy @YHWH's ghost @Bryce @swaggers for participating + others who remain anonymous
Also words from @Nexom when we were talking, which I do partially agree with, “Some people will say you’re very gay for using it, others will think of it as almost a requirement to looksmaxxing”
Conclusion
Makeup being used for males is an easy, effective and cheap way to appeal more and fix some insecurities than some other methods although with a risk of judgment.
I hope this thread found everyone well and you find it useful. I spent lots of time compiling my knowledge into this thread and formatting it for free, so I hope its appreciated.
May you all ascend and slay like never before.
