Laugher is the best medicine.
Now I don't mean some cringey cope method by making fun of yourself in a deprecating fashion or bullying subhumans to make them the butt of jokes.
No, I'm talking about genuinely making people laugh by doing impressions, witty remarks and comebacks and making socially acceptable jokes relating to current affairs & pop culture.
"Laughter accelerates feelings of trust, closeness and comfort. When people share a laugh, their brains release certain hormones — endorphins and dopamine — that emulate the feeling of a runner’s high, or a brief state of extreme joy and delight. This chemical reaction in your brain is what makes you feel bonded with others, according to Aaker and Bagdonas.
Following this logic, leaders who share a laugh with their employees can foster stronger connections with them. Their relationships can go from being “transactional to human,” the Stanford duo said."
Jewish guys like Sandler, Seinfeld and David are quite good at this.
The TV show Friends did it well too. (Guess the race of the people who wrote it)
It's really all about getting people to like you.
It won't make you attractive or get you laid, but life gets a bit easier.
