I've noticed that recently my mandible has been shifting to the left. I recently took off my braces and i noticed without rubber bands my front teeth are correctly placed in the middle of my face, but the bottom teeth are almost a whole tooth to the left. Is just chewing entirely on my left side sufficient or should I use an orthodontic appliace?

Rubber bands used with braces can correct lateral shifts caused by dental malocclusion, but if your issue is rooted in skeletal assymetry, it can only really be fixed with sliding genioplasty where the chin is corrected.
