MARPE or Removeable Expander

Marpe is more effective of course but after going to an orthodontist my palate is about 40mm wide. Off about 5mm from the recommended. They recommend a type of removable expander that will widen my palate 5mm or more if possible but since I doubt it would be actual skeleton expansion of my maxilla is it still worth going through? I don’t have any crazy recession i’m like fairly MTN. My ortho did also say that the removable expander should help with my nasal breathing opening that nasal cavity which kinda implies it’s skeletal expansion. Yes i’m a greycel.

19. It would be on the roof of my mouth but I doubt effective it would be compared to Marpe but since it’s only 5mm that I really need maybe it’s not a big deal
