it causes pain and discomfort, theres a small risk of compliczations, and u will prob have some speech problems at first. U need to have a good oral hygene too.

MARPE can help by widening your upper jaw and making it easier to breathe through your nose but it only fixes width not how far forward your jaw sits sooo it may not fully solve the problem. Before deciding get checked with scans or sm shi like that since some people may need other treatments.

Prob do marpe yeah.

Get a CBCT, check if ur septum is deviated, and measure the widest point of your nasal aperture. Closer to 30mm is better for adult males (and for some, even over 30mm).

With MARPE you risk dental tipping, maxillary downswing, overexpansion, and wasting your money. Get a CBCT scan done first to see what your airway is like. If your nasal floor could use the expansion, get a couple consults with airway focused orthos, and you can go from there. But it's overhyped and for most people the cons outweigh the pros
