Maxilla asymmetry

Just wondering could getting braces help fix my asymmetrical maxilla and palate, the left side is weaker than my right side due to (i think) an Atlas c1 misallignment in the spine, could ordinary braces help fix or improve this issue? i tried everything mewing on the left side it worked a little, but just not enough
