Growth from 16 to 18 years was greater than that from 18 to 20 years. Maxillary and mandibular growth were highly correlated at each age period. However, overall mandibular growth was approximately twice that of overall maxillary growth.
stop spreading misinformation (y)

Ok thanks
couple that with HGH and you will experience lots of maxillary growth

Wait hold on, what did that study do did they do any orthontic treatments or did their maxilla just grow as they aged?

it grows and is opened for growth, but how much depends on genetics and if you are already recessed now is the time to do facepull headgear

denying scientific studies before admitting you are wrong. cage.
All it said was that your jaw grows more at 16 than 18 which is common fucking sense

try getting a biobloc or something similar. just call hella ortho clinics near you and ask if they offer that service at your age. also if you're thumbpulling wear a bite splint so it actually has effects. @cranium.autist on tiktok has a lot of stuff for thumbpulling.

By the way does thumbulling still work if I have retainers at night I imagine it would because it’s not the teeth ur moving correct?

yeah it'd work. but your retainers should change often if thumbpulling is working.

What is a bite splint sorry?
it's like a mouth guard to kinda lock your jaw in place to let bone grow in from thumbpulling. but since you're wearing retainers you shouldn't need that unless you wanna have them in your mouth 24/7,

Alr thanks so should I just not worry and just keep using my retainers at night?

yeah. though you should wear a bite splint after you've experienced expansion. since your bone should still be growing in 1-2 years after.
if you wanna track progress just bite on a split apple and measure the bite width every now and then.

Thanks I think I’ll have to talk to ortho because I’m pretty sure my treatment is finished and stuff but if the retainers don’t fit I’ll get new
