Okay this sounds like a stupid idea. Actually now that I think about it it might be so so so wrong. Anyway here’s what I thought of while I was eating.

to maximize the growth of your muscle fibers, you maximize both slow and fast twitch by training them separately.

Let’s say you idk primarily hypertrophize your fast twitch muscle fibers, doing explosive/fast activity.

Alongside, you train your slow twitch muscle finers, in order to make them bigger too.

So you’re still you, with just both bigger type 1 fibers and type 2 fibers.

To maximize both you do this:

Type 1 slow twitch: slow motion training, go hard on the eccentric

Type training: fuck time under tension, go with momentum. And do the movement as explosive and fast as possible, ignore the eccentric.

will it work??

how about working out all muscles in the body, letting them recover, and repeat

No. Formula of success is simple:
Just eat ton of food, train biceps and chest everyday. Skip cardio and legs. Inject tren+test.

Thats not the point of thr thread. I meant something else.

Idk maybe

I do almost all slow asf controlled reps on everything tbh i can just feel it better

Training for momentum is just dumb, it won't target the muscle you're trying to target nearly as well as controlled reps

Doing fast partials is great for finishing off a muscle, but not an essential part of training unless you're missing a part of it.

For example when I use the Bicep curl machine or do DB Curls i feel it much more in the end of my Bicep and towards my forarm, so on the machine Curls Instead of extending all the way down, I pull it up and just do the top half of range of motion to hit the upper part of my Bicep better for some of the sets

There's no point in doing it just for variety. breaking muscle fibers builds muscle, it doesn't go further than that.

You don't have to think too hard or invent new ideas.

Its been thought of before...

Just watch Renaissance Periodization.

All the latest research.

Besides what you're talking about is potentiation before hypertrophy mesocycles vs. strength training modalities.

You can do both.

As a boxer, I use momentum a lot in my strength exercises as it simulates fast punches. But I’m thinking of maxxing out my fast twitch muscle fibers like that.

I’m gonna do slow motion training alongside the momentum/explosive training, to maximize my endurance and power. And overall just be bigger bc I hate being skinny.

Also cardio endurance by getting bigger isnt a problem, just wear a weighted vest or backpack and start running, your weight will be so much lighter like that.

Ah I didn't know youre a boxer that changes things

Yeah it definitely would have value for you, but the explosive movements you surely do while training for boxing should be adequate, the best movement to do explosively is the one you're training, which is pressumably punches.

‘That changes things’, wasnt that a quote from Garou from OPM?

Anyway, I do explosive pushups and pullups and momentum isolation movements with the dumbells. from tomorrow I’ll start doing eccentric controlled training to improve muscular endurance.
