I was dating this girl for 5 months, she was a virgin and said that she was saving herself for marriage. She was smart, beautiful and was the type of girl that I saw a future with so I started an exclusive relationship with her and told her that sex wasn’t a big deal to me and I would give abstinence a go.
I slowly fell for her but two things got in the way.
1 - She has this weird obsession/ dependency on her best friend. They dated at university for a bit and she claimed that nothing happened between them and she couldn’t see themselves together. I believed her and acted like it was nothing. But this guy would come up every now and again in our conversation and I thought it was weird. Also, I met most of her friends but I never met him.
2 - I couldn’t handle the whole no sex before marriage thing. Even though I did not pressure her, it got to me, I felt insecure and couldn’t handle it.
So I broke up with her, even though I loved her.
A month later she got in touch with me and we started talking and the feelings returned.
Then I told her that I wanted her back and wanted to see her, but she was hesitant.
So last night she finally told me why. She decided to lose her virginity to her best friend when they went on holiday together. She said that she felt like she was making a big deal out of the whole virginity thing and she wanted to lose it to someone she cared about and she now realises that there is a possibility she will end up being with more than one person.
She was afraid to tell me and wanted me to know that she doesn’t want to be with him, that it happened once and will not happen again.
I’m like WTF!!!!
Tl;dr: Ex- Girlfriend told me she lost her virginity to her best friend after we broke up. Now she wants to get back together with me. What should I do?
