Some people go crazy mode and eat 5k calories after sundown, which isn't the general idea of this holy month.
We fast to relate to the people that have less than us and put ourselves in their shoes. So we won't judge them and look down upon them.

We also give a small percentage of our income once a year to charity to also help the unfortunate (Zakat), this isn't necessarily correlated to the month tho but is something else to set ourselves in the shoes of the less fortunate.

Community is very important in the religion.

Ramadan also includes being celibate untill sundown (even if you have a wife) and the time when it is permitted lasts until the onset of dawn.

Having sex during daytime is a sin for which expiation (kafaarah) must be offered. The kafaarah is to free a slave, if that is not possible then the person must fast for two consecutive months. Whoever is not able to do that (bcs of health or other issues) must feed sixty poor persons. If he himself is too poor to do any of this he should make top priority to feed himself and later on attone whenever able to.

This is one of the few years i can properly partake in Ramadan, i didn't do so in other years bcs of health issues (i had to take medicine).
This is why its a huge lifefuel for me, altho the month will be rough. Im happy i can do it
