Meditation and mindfulness is literally everything if you want to be a different person. Your discipline is shit bc you don't take the time to think or be aware of your surrounding. Your time and attention is valuable af, why do you think tik tok is so addicting? It shortens your attention span with short videos making it hard to use any other platform. It's funny how I literally had 0 motivation to looksmax b/c I was always distracted by copes until I started meditating. Now my mind is clear and I've never looked better.

I've been "thinking" about my life for three years and all it did was make me fail. Successful people are doers and go getters. You need to be a low IQ impulsive ape that does the first thing that pops into his mind. The distance between your thoughts and actions should very short. "I have to brush my teeth", stand up asap and brush ur teeth

"I wanna talk to that girl", do it asap don't wait

Meditation helps with this though
Search up the analogy of the monkey mind. Basically all the thinking/hyper focusing you do is useless indeed because it is not actual critical thought. Having an outlet for actual critical thought makes your mind calmer overall and not over analyze.
