then why did you date her

This wasn't a date.

She reached out to me about wanting to meet up. I had no idea if she was looking for something romantic or what (but I agreed to meet up because I like her as a friend)

I'm relieved it turned out she only wants to be friends (since I only want to be friends)

Some stuff I should mention regarding this foid:

-She's obese
-She's an autist
-She dresses like she's 65+ years old (yet she's in her mid to late 40s)

Yet she's been married twice (and gets a decent amount of men looking for casual sex with her; some of which she takes up on the offer)

If a man was an obese autist who dressed way older than his age, there's no way he'd have anywhere near the amount of luck she's had romantically/sexually.

I told her there are some things holding me back when it comes to pursuing foids:

-The more convinced I am a foid is into me, the  less likely I am to make a move (because I'd feel like an idiot if I turned out to be wrong)

-The fact I've been rejected the vast majority of the time makes me feel like there's something wrong with me.

The foid told me I need to get over it.
