Yeah I disagree that the average man is better looking than the average woman. However attractive men are far better looking than attractive women, because the threshold for a man to be considered attractive is much higher.

On average yes and it also applies to intellect. However women are rarely truly intelligent in the extreme, i.e., genius. Likewise when a man is extremely beautiful it is like looking at the ideal form of the species; exemplar, paragon, nonpareil. Religion reflects this because God made man first and from that form made woman. A reflection of a reflection.
