Both of those CL performances took place a decade ago, he hasn't done much since in Europe. And although what he did was unprecedented at the time, Ronaldo definitely eclipsed him between 13/14-17/18: 4 CL trophies and 70 CL goals between those seasons.

Have you seen Messi as of lately, though? He's not getting any better and is most definitely on the decline, levels below how he used to perform between 2008-2015 for example.
