why I cant mew properly? I feel like i cant rest my tongue on the top of my mouth because my pallet feels narrow and when i try to rest the edges of my tongue (both sides of my tongue) they touch my teeth and its very uncomfortable. Its like my tongue cant fit between my teeth and rest on my palate. I've been mewing wrong for almost 2 years (one sided mewing) - left side. I'm applying force almost everyday to my right part of the palate with my hands. I'm I doing good and do you have any tips? Thanks for the help!

What's your intermolar width?

Sounds like you have a narrow palate. You can consult an orthodontist on whether or not you have one and look into getting something like MARPE to help with that (if you do). Hope this helped twin

Bro I'm a teenager and i don't have a lot of money + I'm in a balkan country (average salary is so low) Can thumb pulling on my narrow right side of my pallet fix it? MARPE is expensive as I know

Honestly thumb-pulling is mostly seen as cope by like 90% of people. It's not consistent force throughout the day like MARPE, and even if it does work there's high chance of asymmetry, and you could end up accidentally damaging your upper teeth in some way or the other.

and marpe could get covered by your parents' medical insurance. you should still talk to your parents about it, if you're having trouble breathing through your nose during exercise, mouth-breathing in your sleep/sleep apnea/loud snoring, teeth crowding, etc, mention that and say you want to visit an orthodontist about it.

start to consciously nose breathe more and chew tougher foods to prevent it from getting worse.

Im sorry i couldn't help more bro.

Thanks for your time, advice, and overall response. I will keep in mind and check what I can do about it. On the thumb-pulling/pushing side I have made research and it works. Try to think logically - marpe is a constant force but a lot weaker. On the other side thumb pulling has much higher force (especially if ur training like gym or calisthenics and ur overall hand - forearm - grip muscles are strong) for 0$. Doing it 3-4 times a day (around 3-5 mins with short rests) will surely get u results. Don't get me wrong - I'm not trying to say or prove that thumb pulling is better than marpe. It's just free and anyone can do it from the comfort of their home. I actually started today after doing my research. I started it cause I was mewing wrong for 2 years and now my left side of the palate is wider than my right. which causes asymmetry - my right side of the face is slightly lower which is clearly visible when my face is inverted.
