Which one has a bigger effect on the perceived mid face length? Is it the mid face ratio (IPD divided by mid face length), or the absolute mid face length (nose length + philtrum length)?

Midface ratio is obviously affected heavily by IPD, and someone could in theory have a wide IPD with a long overall mid face and still have a good mid face ratio. However, their mid face could still be too long for their face.

On the other hand, Charlie Kirk has a low mid face ratio (0.9 I believe) but still has a mid face that is too small for his face.

is mid face ratio an inaccurate way to determine if someone has a long mid face?

ratios are everything everybody's skull is a different size so length doesnt really matter in my opinion

Creo que es culpa del área de sus ojos y su boca estrecha, que hace que la parte media de su cara parezca más alargada.

I also believe that absolute measurements play a bigger role in perceived length then midface ratio. Let’s assume your midface length is 70 mm and your ipd is also 70 mm, you would have an “ideal” 1.0 ratio. But in fact your midface is very long and your eyes are very wide set, your midface is still far from compact. You are not telling me that the guy with a 64 mm midface and 60 mm ipd (0,94 ratio) looks like he has a longer midface than the guy with a 70 mm midface and 70 mm ipd
