So is it true that topical minoxidil can cause aging? Ive seen this buzzing around online and was curious if anyone had any insights. I've used it in the past on my facial hair and would like to get back into it to get some more density in my stubble look I go for. Thanks.

It's alcohol and can dry your skin out. It also slightly lowers dht and raises estrogen a little bit. Ive only seen mentally ill losers say it causes wrinkles.:blackpill:

No it will not age you, only the alcohol

but i drink alcohol on regular basis so it wont make a difference right?

Highly doubt it is to any significant effect

Sounds like it would be beneficial then lmao. Clavicular I’m pretty sure was talking about straight up rubbing estrogen cream on his face lmao

You can counteract the alcohol in minox foam by moisturising 30 mins after you applied it.

No, it doesn't.

Source: my derm.

yeah it does, and only retards say it won't.

Minoxidil is a vasodilator which up regulates nitric oxide production. The increase in nitric oxide will inturn increase reactive nitrogen species, leading to oxidative damage.

With topical it also obviously has alcohol (which will dry skin), but even with topical some degree of systematic absorption is inevitable.

using topical is also a waste of time and money, man up and take oral. if ur on oral i would also suggest glutathione injections a few times per week

your spewing some bs, the argument is mainly centered about collegen inhibition, if minoxidil reiased nitric oxide production then it would be like viagra

so viagra ages you?
yes, anything that increases nitric oxide production will inhibit collagen production. Things like L arginine, L citruline, etc.

This is also the reason runners have shit skin

Would NAC be good as an alternative to getting glutathione injections? Having to get an injection multiple times a week sounds like an inconvenient money sink tbh, unless you were suggesting DIY injections jfl

Oral minoxidil is well known to cause Pericardial effusion, topical doesn't have that effect

I use a alcohol free minoxidil

minox has a particle size of 209 daltons, anything lower than 500 will be systematically absorbed. You may as well take oral and get a lot more hair growth. topical is also more expensive than oral.

I can get a 6 month oral minox supply for like $50. Rogaine alone costs like $60 per month in my country

Topical Minoxidil needs to be converted to minoxidil sulfite through the sulfotransferase enzyme on the scalp a tiny bit of it actually gets converted.

It goes systemic a bit but it works way more locally than oral does. Oral is fully converted to minoxidil sulphite in the liver, more minoxidil in the blood higher risks of sie effects and potentially deadly Pericardial effusion. Like I said topical minoxidil doesn't have that problem

Yes nigga but it's the minox itself unfortunately, it inhibits collagen production as it raises pge2.

That's just in theory tho nobody knows to what extent that'll actually happen in the human body and if at all

My experience using topical minoxidil on my eyebrows, I've experienced dryness in the area where the hairs are but its not noticeable from a foot away.
