Minoxidil usage.

Im 16 and i have fine/thin hair its really annoying and i want to have thick hair can i use minoxidil to thicken my hair AND if it works will minoxidil not work as effectively when im ACTUALLY balding since my body already had it once.

Entire point of Minoxidil is that it makes hair thicker, so you do the math.

Min and Fin do completely different things? One makes hair grow by promoting blood flow, the other reverses follicle miniaturization by inhibiting 5a reductase and in turn lowering DHT, the androgen that causes miniaturization.

Before you consider using minoxidil, especially at that age, give MSM powder a try. It's really cheap and effective for hair thickness and has beneficial effects on skin as well. It quickly dissolves in water.

Keep in mind that using higher doses of MSM can trigger headaches and nausea, which can easily be avoided by adding magnesium and staying properly hydrated. You can make a topical solution as well and use it both orally and topically.

Sure but the powder is cheaper if you want to take high doses and probably better for your stomach. I just dissolve it in a water bottle, along with magnesium carbonate and drink it.

As other people have said, they aren’t the same and are not comparable just because they’re both used for hair.
Nobody uses Minoxidil as treatment for hair loss. If you start to succumb to the NWR later down the line then you can try Fin and Dut, Minoxidil would not prevent the issue even if you were to build a resistance (which you won’t).

im going to use minoxidil for my eyebrows 100% i just dont know if i should use i on my hair what i noticed tho is that my hair was a bit thicker maybe 3-4 years ago

What time should i take it

I usually take it in the morning on empty stomach with a level teaspoon of magnesium carbonate. Just dissolve it in a 750 ml bottle of water and then mix in the Mg. The Mg also neutralizes the slightly bitter taste and helps prevent headaches and nausea. Make sure to wait at least an hour, ideally 2, before you eat anything or take other supplements/drugs after drinking the mixture because MgCO3 will neutralize your stomach acid.
