no it's fine, if you want it to be as close to the real you as possible, then just take a picture with a 10 sec timer and stand a metre or so away

even a pic with the selfie camera at arms length is good, lens distortion is only important visibly when it's really close

There are many types of mirrors. In the house that I live there are 4 and in each 4 I look different.
There's one in the bathroom that most of the time looks so nice I love it. I will steal that mirror when I move to another house.

Ultimately when you are good looking, you must look reasonably decent EVERYWHERE.
