Anyone who says that camera is more accurate then mirror is a giga iq let and just using basic science of how both of them works proves mirrors are intrinsically going to be more reliable
How a mirror works is literally just directly reflecting light.
There is no processing or alteration when you look in the mirror it doesn’t even actually reverse anything left to right. This is a common myth but how it actually works is it reflects it front to back
An example would be write the word hello on a piece of paper and turn the paper around. It will appear flipped left to right so it’s just flipping which side is facing you
The mirror is perfectly accurate the only thing that’s changing is the orientation of the image being reflected. All a mirror does is redirect light. Its like a laser bouncing off of something
What a camera does is it samples the light as it enters the lens and measures the intensity and attempts to convert photons to electrons which then processes the data and reconstructs the image it doesn’t reflect anything and isn’t even the original light being emitted
A mirror preserves color, light and geometry perfect because there is essentially no processing or middleman or information being lost. The mirror is the exact same light photons that emit from your face it is not a copy or reconstruction like the camera is
This gives mirrors a inherent advantage as there is no middle man there is no color loss, there is no warping or distorting there is no compression there is no reconstruction and the image isn’t flattened
The only time you will look slightly different in the mirror is if your face has huge assymetries
Again if you wann see an example try to draw a face on a piece of paper but make the face Assymetrical and then look at the other side of the paper
Ull notice the asymmetry is just inverted on the other side
The camera distorts the whole image meanwhile the mirror just reorients you
If you have a perfectly or highly symetrical face then a mirror is a 1:1 reflection of you. If you have assmetries the only thing that changes is ur left side is now on your right side and vice versa
In this case you can just get a non reversing mirror anyways (yes those exist)
The only argument for the camera being more accurate is that it makes you feel bad and more brutal and things that make you feel bad are intrinsically not cope jfl
