The audience shat all over this fight bc it was mostly on the ground. I’ve watch 10s of thousands of fights from Strikeforce, Pride, UFC, KOTC, WEC, PFL, Bellator etc. Nowadays everyone is so good at BJJ it takes forever to lock something in, so we’re just left with dudes stuck in guard throwing weak punches, and yes I understand BJJ and it’s intricacies but no longer find it fun when it takes up a huge part of the fight. Hamudi said that “every cope comes to an end” and sadly it looks like MMA is going to join that heap along with most video games.
