Visualization/shadowboxing and sparring are very important.

Watching fights then repeating the sequences by shadowboxing on your own is also very important.

Doing these for various fights by comparing different fights of various levels of difficulty and then refining by seeing how the difficult one is more difficult and why. And seeing "what to do" with fight IQ in a specific sequence in an easier fight is example of learning.

I hate boxing. 3 years of putting conscious efforts and rounds and working drills at home just to end up mediocre. guys who came to train for 4 months got on my level. And I realize this just now that the training is pointless. Boxing didnt make me happy either. I hated the cardio aspects of it and tensing up in sparring. It was shit. I feel better and less stress not doing boxing
