If I am a Southpaw fighting another Southpaw. I can evade his front jab by moving to the right but that would expose me to his rear hook. And I can evade his rear hooks and rear straights by moving to the left. But he can clip me with front/right hooks.

If I as a Southpaw fight an Orthodox who switches stance to Southpaw and then back again to Orthodox, that would confuse me.

When I switch stance while fighting against an Orthodox, I will have to use moves that complement switching stance back again to Southpaw, luring him into a false sense of security when I switch to Orthodox and then back to Southpaw aka "setting up traps".
