Both men and women are hypergamous in nature, if a better option appears they will likely pursue it. Now, the real trouble comes with the advent of social media. You're bombarded with pictures and videos of attractive people day in and out (constant comparison), some live for the validation from posting (1 man can never replicate the attention of 100) and it's never been easier to hit on someone (private, takes no confidence, partner wont know).

Do singles care that someone has a partner? Of course not, it's actually easier to steal someone's gf/bf than to find another single person (1v1 vs. 1v1000+). People aren't often content with their relationships always seeking more. So imagine your gf has a small fight with you and some cute guy has been sitting in her DMs, this could be all it takes to end the LTR. Everyone is single for the right person. For avg joe it blows but plain jane can replace you the same day! Hence, people (women esp) dont work through tough times anymore, as soon as its not all sun shines and rainbows they run for the hills where the grass (isnt) greener.

So that begs the question, is the juice worth the squeeze?

completely relative to where u live tbh

if you live in the west, dating is dead

if you don’t live in the west then dating is worth it

I disagree, the internet and social media is a plague that affects the entire world. It’s inescapable, the eastern countries seem to all have “relationships” driven by money which isn’t real love. Your eastern “lover girl” will drop you for the rich white tourist.
