I’ve tried a lot of moisturizers Korean brands, American brands, all labeled non-comedogenic, fragrance-free, and with clean ingredients. No matter what I use, they all seem to clog my skin. By the next day, I either get tiny yellow dots that wash away with just a splash of water, or my cheeks become red and my skin looks waxy.
I’ve experimented with heavier, more occlusive moisturizers as well as lightweight gel types, but I can’t seem to find a balance. Sometimes my skin feels dry and gels aren’t enough, while heavier creams feel too heavy and cause issues.
I don’t cleanse in the morning just rinse with water and I use a gentle cleanser at night. I don’t have severe acne my main issue is simply that moisturizers don’t seem to work for my skin. I do use a BHA exfoliant twice a week for sebaceous filaments, which get much worse if I stop using it.
At this point, I’m wondering if I should stop using moisturizer altogether and let my skin adjust, or if there’s a moisturizer out there that I may not have tried yet that could work for me.
