More industrialization and more advanced technology = more natural lifestyle for average people

This is what people do not seem to understand. They think that technology will mean living in some cyberpunk dystopian cities. What will actually happen is more advanced tech will instead allow us to live more leisurely lifestyles in the comfort of the countryside. You see the more primitive our society, the harder we have to work to maintain a decent quality of life. The worst example of this was the early 1800s and 1900s when people had to work in brutal conditions to maintain society. In the axial age, industry was even more brutal as it was only possible through massed slave labor. With advanced tech like ai automation and internet, people can work remotely and for less hours. Technologies like advanced nuclear power will make manufacturing and farming far cheaper, more clean and compact and thus open up more countryside to live on. The ultimate goal of industrial development is to move heavy industry into space and move products down to earth via orbital rings and space elevators.
