Twenty-four healthy Japanese men and 31 healthy Japanese women with fasting blood glucose levels ranging from 90–125 mg/dL were included. An open-label, two-arm, randomized controlled trial was conducted for 12 weeks. Two additional 550 mL bottles of water on top of habitual fluid intake were consumed in the intervention group. The subjects drank one bottle of water (550 mL) within 2 h of waking, and one bottle (550 mL) 2 h before bedtime. Subjects increased mean fluid intake from 1.3 L/day to 2.0 L/day, without changes in total energy intake. Total body water rate increased with associated water supplementation.

Even after 12 weeks their water weight was still increased, it's over, all that water I've been chugging is now permanently a part of me... Just 700ml per day was able to increase their water bloat by 0.5% and they weren't even drinking that much(only 2L).
the lower sodium diet though provided to them probably also acted as anti-bloat as shown by the decreasing ECW as % of total water content... this would hide their true bloat they'd get from the 700ml daily water.

Maybe thats why i look less bloated during summer. I sweat more, and dont drink enough.

i think so cause it doesn't make any sense, if u drink more water it goes to ur blood, to avoid death the extra water goes to the interstitial fluid, the interstitial fluid is held by some collagenous structure that probably get stretched out the more water you push into it
the only time water doesn't stay in interstitial fluid is when u eat carbs, then it follows the glucose to the inside of the cell, for 1g glucose 4g water follows.
btw interstitial fluid = fluid under ur skin, in-between organs, etc, inside fat as well...

low iq gaycel moment, facial bloat due to water retention is caused by dehydration and high salt intake. 2 litres water a day won't hurt tbh ngl any change is invisible unless you eat fuck tonne of sodium. stay hydrated fellas

It's mentioned "total body water" ofc if you increase your water intake your body water percentage would increase(water is wet) but this would not cause water retention in skin and cause a puffy look, dehydration causes that

"Dehydration can cause blood vessels to enlarge that can lead to water retention, especially in the face causing it to be puffy."

Source on the blood vessels claim?
"Hypertension- High blood pressure is common in people who are chronically dehydrated. When the body's cells lack water, the brain sends a signal to the pituitary glad to secrete vasopressin, a chemical that causes constriction of the blood vessels. This causes blood pressure to increase which leads to hypertension."

But tbh a few % increase in water or few % decrease unlikely to make a big difference in the face.

Either way I am not advising anyone to dehydrate themselves, just to stop chugging water till their piss is fully transparent white.

i'll try tbh
it ain't that hard. just don't combine fat and carbs in meal(very important), eat higher protein, drink more water(it's good for weight loss).

what about exercise?

what about exercise?
avoid cardio, go on long walks, do high intensity exercises, HIIT cycling is top-tier for losing weight, sprinting is same but is hard on joints. Swimming is god-tier for losing weight. Swimming also gives broader shoulders(my own opinion). Swimming is extra good for losing weight cause you're not only burning exercise calories but you're also losing warmth to the water which burns extra calories.

yhh i used to swim when i was younger and my body was very lean and good tbh

all i know is that dehydration kills all water in the face

reviving that because i would like to know other opinions. I dont see how this is correlated to bloat.

OP is stupid uneducated dog.

Dehydration only give you the lean looks temporality then the brain signal the body to retain the lasting water.

Being properly hydrated with right ratio of electrolytes will signal the kidney to excrete the appropiate sodium and water on its own

But plain water literally dehydrates you. So you're arguing against yourself.
Edit : didn't see this was old af

low sodium, 4:1 potassium to sodium ratio and 3L of water np
