Is a feminine dad, I wish I was fatherless sometimes. My dad is truly pathetic and I feel disgust when I look at him, he’s always stressed and passing that stress onto his whole family instead of being a stoic that deals with his problems (not really problems but he exaggerates them, something I do too now thanks to him)

Familypill is truly brutal, and chances are it’s your dad which makes it brutal as opposed to your mother.

Yeah I’m not a masc coper by any means, but I do believe there’s some truth to traditional gender dynamics and there’s certain things that a father and a husband must do. I feel bad for my mom too, she’s honestly much more stoic than him.

he makes good money and so does my mom, he is just hyper paranoid for some reason and like a woman makes everyone around feel the same way. He’s also a religious larper with an extreme ego and sense of superiority but literally none of the traits promoted by said religion. Yeah it’s a societal pressure but a bad one. There’s a lot of pre requisites you should be able to meet before kids even come to your mind, or you at least gotta have signs of high intelligence so you can adapt and make good intuitive decisions.

I tried talking with him before, and well there’s a lot more stuff he has done in the past which I can’t share on here which can never make look at him the same.

I’m done trying to change him man, it’s not my responsibility, the only move I can make in my situation is completing university and getting a job so I can support myself and them financially. I won’t live with them but because they raised me, I will pay off their mortgage.

The point of my post wasn’t so much to complain, it was just highlighting something which I have talked about before, the environment you are born in matters much more than your genetics (obviously it’s ideal to have both).

Also they take my entire college fund (I have a 4.0 gpa and gotten a lot of scholarships so I get plenty of money from the government and school already specially here in Canada) so it’s not even “muh he pays for you”
