I think people rarely mean what they say think when they give compliments. A lot of the time, they virtue signal or merely say things to make you feel better and when you call them out, you just get accused of low self-esteem. Compliments on my looks piss me off to no end. If I go by what they say, I am some sort of male model or something. Yeah its fucking absurd I know. I feel like calling them out on it and go into detail about why I am not. I've also had people use me as an example of why "looks dont really matter" because I have no success with women. Tbh I wouldn't be surprised I am a truecel. I mean I just feel like telling them "No. They matter and they matter a lot more than everything else combined. You are just grossly overestimating my attractiveness". Does anyone else feel this way? I am probably a PSL 3-3.5 btw so I just want to know if there other people in that range who can relate.
