My friend was saying he had to get a job but didn't know what. I told him to become a security guard cos it's what I do, and is easy and low stress (although my current job isn't the best). Then he says no because he wouldn't feel a sense of "accomplishment" or some shit, and that he wants a "proper job"...

Same thing with my parents. They want me to get a "proper job"

It's so common within normies. They want something where they can grind and climb the ladder, and have status and brag to others about. Even if it's not something they particularly care about

You should get a job that requires as little effort as possible
Unless it's the rare exception where u get a job doing something u really care about, and those jobs are reserved for the old timers in any field

You know, in Romania, back in the communist era, everyone had a job, there was no unemployment and it was even illegal not to work, but obviously there were also a ton of lazy, dumb or incompetent people - these people usually got jobs as 'guards', often in places where there was nothing of value to guard, a large percentage of population worked as guards or supervisors, doing basically nothing, they just sat there all day, often getting drunk, normally these kind of people would have been just homeless bums, but in communism they lived a pretty comfy life, the state provided them with everything...

Only thing you should take pride in is how you look, use job to reduce cortisol (good place to live, easier and safer transportation, freedom to neet some weeks when you want to, etc)
