It has nothing to do with inward gonions or gonial angle . People mistaking it everytime in this forum,.. Downawrd grown jaw means jawline recession,, when your chin grows downward instead of projecting forward. You can have flared gonion angles even if u have recessed chin. Thats why some people have shit sideprofile but good front profile.

Its purely genetic. It does not mean recession.. Some male models have inward gonions. You can detected recession if u teeth are fucked and narrow.

It's not just recession even though they're correlated, it's when anterior vertical growth (ramus growth) is shit/stunted relatively to anterior vertical growth

You could have the same facial height and depth between two people but different gonial angles because different ramus lengths
