Most men and women view most women as attractive; the same does not go for men. This affects the course of a man's life
Pretty privilege (simplified)

Social leniency [A privilege women have, women simply aren't held accountable to the same level as men especially LEGALLY and SOCIALLY]
Halo Effect [Women are wonderful affect is a well-documented affect, however I truly believe that if it were women that found 80% of men to be attractive, then there would be a men are wonderful effect]
Less jail time for same crimes
Easy to date as someone with pretty privilege [Most women have this privilege, obviously]
Job market advantages [Women are more likely to be hired with the exact same qualifications]
EVEN if it were men that took more effort in their appearance women would still have pretty privilege whether they conform to beauty standards or not, remember that in America 11.5% of women have severe obesity while 6.9% of men have severe obesity, yet women are still seen as more attractive.
A lot of the social privilege women have can be broken down into pretty privilege, men are simply gynocentric by nature but women are androcentric for Chad, women just fail to realize it.
