I’ve been a nose breather with no breathing problems all of my life and I got an overbite and andrew tate weak recessed chin, while my sister has breathed with her mouth due to deviated septum and she has a good normal jawline. It’s all genetics.

If no one has overbite in your familly then its because you were sucking your thumb as a kid
Weak chin just means shot hormones

it also depends on the type of food you eat
for example if you ate soft foods for most of your life thats probably why

The exception does not break the rule. Mouth breathing is harmful and unnatural. But i think the degree people are sensitive to environmental factors for their development varies. Some peoples cranial structure is mostly unharmed by mouth breathing/ bad posture whilst for others you see that it can ruin development(going form a balanced facial structure to malocclusion and downward growth in a couple of years during or before puberty).

There are also numerous examples of practicing good oral posture, especially during puberty, correcting the damage done by previous mouth breathing to a noticable degree. The eyes become less droopy, maxilla becomes more projected, chin becomes more projected and the whole face usually slightly rotates anti clock wise. I have experienced this myself.

People on this forum mew for 3 months and get mad when they don't obtain Lefort 3 like results.

Mouthbreathing is real and there are literally twins online where one mouthbreathed due to an illness and they look night and day… that being said I’m also recessed as fuck after nose breathing my whole life

Mouth breathing doesnt do shit its just a side effect, well it might affect teeth but nothing to do with recession

I only did it for 2 months and yes it did improve my forward growth but then i stopped because i got worried that my deep bite would lead to bad chewing and stuff which might cause overgrown muscles and unwanted bone growth, been fucking lazy too i should try to do something for my deep bite

Please explain to me nigger
Mouth breathing could cause reccesion but only do so indirectly, for example lets say you cant breathe through the nose anymore, this will make it hard to chew food for more than a couple secs because you gotta breathe so what happens is you start eating soft food only, or not chewing your food properly and lack of chewing is a cause of reccesion. So yes it does indirectly cause it but not that mouth breathing itself somehow makes your jaw reccesed

anectodes dont mean shit, if there would be millions of cases like this then yes, but there isnt.

It's like sleeping and eating right for height, it will only make you reach your potential, it wont make you guaranteed to have it. Mouth breathing is definitely harmful and nose breathing is definitely better but it only goes so far. I am in the same situation as you 😭😭😭
