Movies:
Emperor Tomato Ketchup (CP)
This movie is a bizarre censored experimental film from the 1970s which shows children engaging in sex with adults. This movie originally only had 12 minutes due to Japanese censorship laws, but when the director's cut was released in 1996 it was never released in the US, and in fact during a screening of the film that was being synced with music from Stereolab it actually got pulled in Texas in 2004.
Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story (copyright infringement)
This movie is a mockumentary involving dolls about a girl's struggle with anorexia. After a copyright lawsuit from The Carpenters for using their music without their permission, all copies of the film were destroyed.
Hillary: The Movie (electioneering communication)
A documentary about Hillary Clinton during the 2008 elections that got banned by the FEC.
The Profit (lawsuit)
This movie that was a parody of Scientology resulted in a court battle with the Church of Scientology leading to distribution of the film becoming a felony after the case was settled.
Books:
Demon Beast Invasion: The Fallen (obscenity)
Got banned after the state of Texas deemed the manga legally obscene.
Operation Dark Heart (classified information)
Got all copies destroyed with a redacted version later released without the names and stuff in it.
As for music/vidya, can't think of any. Especially not any new reasons.
