Doesn't the paper say that the IPD increased during treatment then decreased back or am I reading it wrong

What should you expect from MSE? Wider Face, zygos, does it have an effect on Canthal tilt? Is MSDO necessary after the treatment? I was planning to just get MSE and then leave the mandible be

None of the treatments in this study was MSE but interesting regardless. Seems like the major remaining soft tissue change was their noses got wider. Zygos and PFL actually got slightly narrower, no change in IPD and they didn't even measure the mouth width for some reason.

Hyrax expander, basically MSE without the bone anchoring as far as I understand it. So this device is pushing directly on the teeth, while the bone anchoring of the MSE is supposed to give more of a true skeletal expansion of the maxilla.

Also there are 2 groups in this study, one with surgically assisted expansion and the other with orthopedic expansion.

This study only measured Intercanthal distance, not interpupillary distance. It also used surgical expansion in adults, NOT MSE.

If IPD increased only slightly, Intercanthal distance can presumably remain the same (just imagine your inner canthus stretching more due to each pupil being slightly pulled to each side due to expansion)
