keep thinking that if u swallow water correctly u will get hollow cheeks just lol



well developed maxillas lead to wide cheekbones and prominent cheek hollows

and the reason why MSE doesnt improve you asethetically, is because it doesnt ADVANCE THE MAXILLA, IT ONLY EXPANDS IT.

yes you will have better airways from MSE, but its utterly pointless a waste of time.

MSE:wider nose, chances of asymmetrical expansion(it has happened), braces after(shit ton of money), improved airways

Lefort I + CCW Rotation:improved looks, better fwhr, better facial structure overall, improved airways, better eye support


the reason why bimax results are so shit is because of few reasons

1.they didn't get enough advancements on the maxilla
2.they didn't get CCW rotation
3.they already was forward grown to begin with

and mind you a lot of patients don't want their pictures shown, (common sense)

Any orthognatic surgerical plan includes pre- and/or post surgical orthodontics. MSE can be included in the treatment for cases of transverse maxillary deficiency. And obviously it can be part of a standalone treatment. But these aren’t mutually exclusive treatment options and often the best course is to utilize both.
