MSE on someone who's had a lefort?

To you MSE experts, have you run across anything in the literature about whether someone who's had BIMAX in the past can still have an MSE?

I saw some messages in a professional forum claiming that it is possible after removing the osteosynthesis plates and screws.

But I am really skeptic about it. It’s effects would be limited to the part of the maxilla caudal to the osteotomy and I would be really worried about the possible side effects. But this is just my opinion.

yes that is possible, in fact much better than doing an expansion by means of the Le Fort osteotomy (2 or 3 piece)

I read that in the MSE user group on Facebook.

I don’t know if it is a good group though, but there aren’t many public places to share information and experiences about MSE.
