MSE without facemask?

I have no idea if i'll get 10-12 mm of expansion let alone that they would even give me a MSE. I'm thinking of telling them I have sleep apnea and shit to convince them? I'm honestly scared though because I was not planning to get a MSE I was just going to get a palate expander + invisalign. What do yall think? I'm 18 years old

Don’t lie, be front or you won’t get it. They will have you check with an EMT to confirm you have sleep apnea.

MSE or similar MARPEs are palate expanders (among other things), the best ones.

Thank you for the reply, i’m trying to learn more and more about MSE because I really would love to get one, the biggest obstacles I see are convincing my orthodontist to give me atleast 10mm of expansion with a facemask. I’m also not sure what would happen to the mandible following MSE + FM. Would I need surgery for my lower arch afterwards if so? Thank you so much for reading

I think it is better for you all if you assume that you will need surgery in the mandible after MARPE + protraction. But without protraction you won't need it, it will be just an expansion, but a better expansion.

Damnnnn how’d you do it? I live in the south and no orthos I’ve contacted will perform it, who did you use if you don’t mind me asking?

I feel a thread needs to be made where everybody can share orthos in which city/states were willing to perform MSE
