Nigga. Your core is abs, obliques, spinal erectors, and glutes. Why the fuck do you do dumb ass McGill exercises that are impossible to load? Why do you not just do fucking crunches, back extensions/jefferson curls and hip thrusts? I promise you, you will grow much more muscle mass by doing these exercises than lying on the floor and doing this shit.
If you truly believe this will grow you muscle effectively, then I suggest you to go do isometric curl holds for 10 seconds of the 2lb dumbbell. That is the equivalent of these exercises for the bicep.
If you think that this teaches you to hold your back straight during exercises, annihilate yourself. Holding your back straight during a 500lb deadlift is a motor skill that is acquired by holding your fucking back straight during heavy deadlifts (ofc you need to have enough muscle mass first). Not by lying on the floor and lifting your chest up for 10 seconds. And again, if you think this way - I suggest you to teach yourself how to not swing during 70lb DB bicep curls by doing isometric curl holds with 2lb dumbbell for 10 seconds.
